With COVID-19 dominating our lives, our interactions with people are quite different. Many people are suddenly seeing their loved ones much more and have less freedom and space to be alone. This can bring up heated discussions and a general sense of annoyance and frustration.
How do you keep your cool during these situations?
- Instead of reacting and getting more worked up: relax. Breath in, breath out
- Bring your guard, your barriers down
- Step out of being right or wrong. Step out of defending or blaming.
- Be vulnerable
- Ask: “What will create the most here?” This makes you aware of what is possible instead of what you want and what you do not like. This question takes you to your creative energy and the possibilities that are available.
- Ask: “What is the gift here that I do not see?”
